Guillermo del Toro's THE SHAPE OF WATER Trailer

By Christopher Webster [07.19.17]

From Guillermo del Toro comes a new fantasy vision, The Shape of Water, an other-worldly fairy tale set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1963. This is a film that I can't image anyone else but del Toro making.

Sally Hawkins leads the cast along with Michael Shannon, Richard Jenkins (Cabin in the Woods), Michael Stuhlbarg and Doug Jones.

Synopsis:
In the hidden high-security government laboratory where she works, lonely Elisa (Sally Hawkins) is trapped in a life of silence and isolation. Elisa's life is changed forever when she and co-worker Zelda (Octavia Spencer) discover a secret classified experiment.

The Shape of Water opens in theaters on December 8.

Recommended Release: Crimson Peak

Sally Hawkins and GdT together - how wonderful! I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully Michael Shannon's role will have some nuance; the trailer makes him look like a cartoon villain as in 99 Homes.

what is the deal with these trailer revealing the whole film!

Girl Mute introverted meets sea creature and falls in love, rescues it, and joins it in the Amazon river.
Oh and it takes place in the 1950s.

    Yes I will see it!
