On this episode of The Quietcast, I speak with writer/director Liam O'Donnell about his debut feature Beyond Skyline. This is, of course, the sequel to the Brothers Strause's original alien invasion film Skyline, which, believe it or not, came out 7 years ago this month!

In the almost hour-long conversation, Liam opens up about how the first film landed, inspirations for the sequel, how Star Wars being back might influence the industry, Rotten Tomatoes controversies and more.

Synopsis:
Detective Mark Corley storms his way onto an alien spaceship to rescue his estranged son. When the ship crashes in Southeast Asia, he forges an alliance with a band of survivors to take back the planet once and for all.

Beyond Skyline stars Frank Grillo and Bojana Novakovic along with The Raid's Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhian.

The film invades a number a festivals over the next few weeks before hitting a theatrical and digital release December 15, 2017.

Recommended Release: War of the Worlds
