Impressive First Look at Netflix's ALTERED CARBON Adaptation [Trailer]

By Marina Antunes [12.05.17]

We were pretty excited a couple of years ago when Netflix announced they were going ahead with a 10 episode order of "Altered Carbon," an adaptation of Richard K. Morgan's cyberpunk novel - the first in a series of three.

Soon after the announcement that Laeta Kalogridis (best known before this as the co-writer of Shutter Island and Terminator Genisys) would showrun, write and executive produce, it was announced that Joel Kinnaman would star in the series as Takeshi Kovacs, an interstellar warrior who has been imprisoned for 500 years and who is downloaded into a new body.

When we chatted with Kinnaman last year, he was just about to get started on the production and though he wasn't prepared to say much, he did share his eagerness at the project and now that we've got a trailer, we can see why.

Not only is this one of the key novels in the genre, if the trailer for the series is any suggestion, we're in for quite a treat.

In addition to Kinnaman, the series also co-stars James Purefoy, Hiro Kanagawa and Kristin Lehman.

Look for the entire season of "Altered Carbon" to land on Netflix February 2nd.
