Benson & Moorhead's THE ENDLESS Gets Release Date!

By Marina Antunes [01.24.18]

After a long and successful festival run, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead's excellent The Endless is finally getting a theatrical release.

The follow-up to the duo's successful romantic thriller Spring (trailer), The Endless is a completely different beast. It's the story of two brothers, played by Benson and Moorhead with great aplomb, who escaped from a UFO death cult years before. One is adjusting well to life on the outside but things aren't going so well for the other and so, after some negotiating, the pair agree to return for a quick visit to see their old friends.

What begins as the difficulties of life post-cult escape - on its own a really fascinating story - turns into something far stranger and more bizarre. Vagueries on purpose!

I was blown away by The Endless which I had a chance to see during its festival run last year. It plays well on first viewing but is endlessly rewarding on multiple viewings with different details becoming apparent with each watch.

Because Benson and Moorhead actively engage the audience at every turn, The Endless demands your attention and rewards those who do.

Those willing to give themselves over the mind bending at play here, which I expect is everyone reading this, will have a chance to catch up with the movie when it opens March 23.

Recommended Release: Spring

I'm looking forward to this. Spring was quite a bit better than I expected.

Looks like it was moved to April 6 (according to boxofficemojo).

I watched it last night at PIFF. Pretty cool, but I don't understand it yet. I'll look for a chance to see it again.
