PROSPECT Gets a VHS Trailer to Support its Bow on VOD

By John Connor [03.12.19]

Yes, we've talked a lot about Prospect on this site over the last year and, yes, we are again. We've always championed indie sci-fi and Prospect is a great example of the best of it so what can we say?

Shep Films have released a cool VHS trailer for the film to celebrate its release on VOD. Check it out below.

Also be sure to check out my review and interview with the film's directors Zeek Earl and Christopher Caldwell.

A teenage girl and her father travel to a remote alien moon; aiming to strike it rich. They've secured a contract to harvest a large deposit of the elusive gems hidden in the depths of the moon's toxic forest. But there are others roving the wilderness and the job quickly devolves into a fight to survive.

Forced to contend not only with the forest's other ruthless inhabitants; but with her own father's greed-addled judgment; the girl finds she must carve her own path to escape.

I feel bad that I was too lazy to catch this in the theater. VOD, here I come.

No need for VOD, as it turned out. The NW Film Center had a screening last week and I was quite impressed. Alien meets True Grit!
