Gary Oldman Haunted by a Ship in MARY [Trailer]

By Marina Antunes [08.09.19]

We've seen movies about haunted houses, hospitals, woods and even cars but Mary may be the first movie about a haunted sailboat.

Gary Oldman stars as David, a struggling captain who purchases an old sailboat in the hopes of turning it into a revenue-generating business for his wife, played by Emily Mortimer, and their daughters.

While out on their maiden voyage, the family begins to suspect something is not quite right with the boat and, as you can probably guess, horror ensues.

Movies about haunted places and things tend to follow similar beats and the trailer for Mary suggests that this one may also have some of those but the added fact that this takes place in a constricted space with little room for escape adds some intrigue to the movie. Add Oldman and Mortimer to the mix and you have a pretty great looking recipe.

Mary will open theatrically and be available on VOD and digital on October 11.
