CUCK Explores the Life of a Social Outcast [Review]

By David House [09.30.19]

The new thriller Cuck is certainly a movie of the times we are living in; the age of Trump America. The USA is more divided than ever before and right-wing extremism seems to be accelerating in many parts of the globe.

In Cuck we meet Ronnie; a pathetic dreamer, unemployed, angry, and resentful of immigrants and asylum seekers. Wishing to follow in his father's footsteps, he attempts to enter the military but fails to pass the psych evaluation. He still lives with his mother, who is sick and homebound. He slams doors and retreats to his room where he vents his frustrations online in a vlog; "illegals are running the show," "they own everything," and "they look down on you," "true patriots have got to have one another's backs and be proud to be white and male." Ronnie is single and very sexually frustrated; a frequent visitor to porn sites. His attempt at online dating is a disaster.

Increasingly frustrated with the Muslims, the foreign invaders and third world immigrants watering down the white nation state, he attends Trump rallies and meets with like-minded patriots - "how far are you willing to go?" He buys a gun. It's time to take the red pill.

Tired of being "jewed down" and "made to feel like shit" by the libtards, his rage builds and builds. The outcome of the film has seemed inevitable from early on; a mass shooting spree and death by police. It's a portrait of someone lacking love and driven to a sick and desperate end. Sadly none of this is new, with almost weekly events of this nature in the United States and increasingly abroad. Unfortunately just portraying all this doesn't seem like a reason to make a movie. I didn't feel like I gained any insight on the issues. I found it to be merely inflammatory, offensive, and extremely unpleasant from beginning to end.

Hopefully, other viewers will find this film more meaningful and helpful in understanding the problems we must resolve in order to learn to live together in the 21st century.

Cuck opens theatrically and will be available on VOD October 4.

Utterly uninformed leftist propaganda created by simpletons. No Thanks! I'll just watch the news if I want nonsense.
